EAR WAX REMOVAL

WHAT IS EAR WAX?

Ear wax is naturally produced by glands in the skin of the ear canal. Under normal circumstances the wax migrates outwards towards the external part of the ear. Sometimes ear wax can accumulate to a degree where it causes a feeling of blockage and hearing loss.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE REMOVAL OF EAR WAX?

A microscope and fine suction instruments are used in the clinic to fully remove wax from the ear canal. Depending on how quickly the wax reaccumulates, the procedure may need to be repeated every few months.
